Prevent app crashes on Apple Silicon by addressing resource leaks and update check timeouts.
The application was crashing with a SIGABRT under Rosetta translation, likely due to native module incompatibility and accumulated resources from
simple-gitoperations. This PR reuses git instances, cleans up resources on exit, and adds a timeout to update checks to improve stability. A detailedCRASH_INVESTIGATION.mdis included.
